He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Victor Nelson (Eunice Maples) and Renee Nelson; his son Jody Nelson; and his sister Charlotte Scarbrough. He is survived by: his close friend Sharon Pierce; his stepsisters, Brenda Nelson Sprinkle and Becky Cink; his nieces, Dina West (Danny), Tammy Scarbrough and Dannon Weaver; and his grandchildren, Kylie Glover and Kash Bradford.
