It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Coker (Semmes, Alabama), born in Jackson, Alabama, who passed away on September 9, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Arthur and Ruby Pearl Brown Taylor; her siblings, Ralph Taylor and Jewel Miller; and her daughter Dorothy Elaine Fillingim.
She is survived by: her children, James Allen Coker, Sr. (Judy) of Mobile, Reneé McInnis (Mack) of Semmes and Jana Lynn Bennett (Shawn) of Turnerville; her sister-in-law Rebecca Thomas of Minden, LA; her siblings, Gladys Wint of Eight Mile and AC Taylor (Glenda) of Jackson, AL; and her close friends, Tommy and Shirley Dortch. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
