She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Wallace Newsome and Walter Lee "Red" Newsome; her brother Walter "Buddy" Newsome, Jr.; and her son-in-law Steve Buxton. She is survived by: her children, Mike Ross (Sharron), Nancy Buxton, Bernadine Sissy Smith, Harold Ray Quigley (Shy) and Christopher Ross (Whitney); her grandchildren, April Carter, Joshua Smith (Tori), Jeremy Smith (Casey), Crystal Converse (Perry), Whittney Ross, Drew Ross, Eric Quigley, Nicholas Quigley, Kayden Quigley and Alex Quigley; her great grandchildren, Skyler Ross of Christopher, Ross, Jr., Addeyson Ross, Jason Melton, Jr., Kyndal Smith, Ansley Smith, Easton Manning, Jaycee Smith, Sawyer Grace Smith, Keaton Smith, Jayda Converse, Aubry Converse, Lorelai Converse, Leighton Converse, Haisten Ross, River Ross and Kayleigh Hunter; and her siblings, Bill Newsome and Charlotte Cook. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
