He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sexton and Marietta Sexton; his wife Jo Ann Sexton; his son Bill Sexton; and his brother Mike Sexton.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Laken Jones (Jeff); his daughter Mari Beth Diagostino; his grandsons, Parker Hinson (Rebecca), Hunter Hinson and Chase Fuller; his siblings, Janie O'Gwynn, Joe Sexton (Patty) and Tommy Sexton (Pam); his daughter-in-law Lisa Sexton; and his sister-in-law Eddie Joyce Sexton. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Selma, Alabama (325 Lauderdale St, Selma, AL 36701). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at the New Live Oak Cemetery (110 W Dallas Ave, Selma, AL 36701).
