He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Butler Ellzey and Geri Ellzey Craig; and his grandparents, Kathleen Purvis Walters, Barney Byron Purvis, Sr., Billie Butler Ellzey and Robert Earl Ellzey.

He is survived by: his wife Becky Ellzey; his children, Lacye Story (Joshua), Richard Moseley Jr. and Brandon Moseley (Ashley); and his grandchildren, Gracye Moseley, Evangeline Moseley, Katerina Moseley, Anthonie Talarico (Jackie), William Moseley, Ayden Moseley and Jase Moseley.
