He is survived by: his wife Brenda Joyce Mitchell Edwards; his daughter Kendall Edwards Clingan; his grandchildren, Emily Kaitlyn Edwards Wright (Kalem), Sage Glenn Clingan (Bell), Porter Edwards and Lilly Frances Edwards; his great grandchild Jensen Mclain Wright; his siblings, Homer Ellis Edwards (Charlotte), Billy Joe Edwards (Deannie), George "Steve" Edwards (Linda) and Gloria Edwards Ward (Butch); and his siblings-in-law, Dennis White and Donna Huey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pisgah Baptist Church (3770 Pisgah Church Road, Selma, AL 36701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
