With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sybil Maddox Mott (Selma, Alabama), born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on September 19, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gaddis P. Maddox and Celia Parker Morrow Maddox; her husband William Earl Mott, Sr.; her sister Mary Ann Norris; her children, Bud Mott (Carol), Becky Hardy (Bill), Britt Mott (Margaret) and Beth Mott; her grandchildren, Beau Sommerville (Cat), Ben Sommerville, Brian Sommerville, Amy Piper (Ryan), Avery Horton (Brandon), Laura Cameron Murphy (William) and Elizabeth Bowers (Ashley); her great grandchildren, Crawford Piper, Rhett Piper, Brittian Murphy, Bradley Bowers, Willie Sommerville, Tucker Horton, Mary Kelley Murphy, Anne Russell Bowers, Adalynn Grace Bowers and Evie Sommerville; her nephews, Chet Norris and Clint Norris (Dori); her great-niece Maddox Norris; and her pet Aubie. She was also cherished by 'Granny' to her seventeen grand and great-grandchildren.
