Ruth Buxton Lewis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Buxton Lewis (Selma, Alabama), who passed away on July 29, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kelma Buxton and Bessie Buxton; her husband Oliver William Lewis; and her siblings, Eleanor Buxton, Kelma Athens "Shanny" Buxton, Jr. (Loedith) and James "Jay" Buxton (Doris).
She is survived by: her children, Janice "Snookie" Parrish and Michial "Mike" Lewis; and her grandson Quintin Cale Parrish (Rebecca). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hosptal; 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
