He was predeceased by: his parents, Ose Ashley and Ada Mudd Ashley; his siblings, William Ashley, Dallas Ashley, Warnie Ashley, Sherman Ashley, Louis Ashley, Georgia Anderson of Kentucky, Rudell Peyton of Kentucky and Clara Glaspie of Kentucky; and his daughter Margaret S Felts.
He is survived by: his children, Brian T. Ashley (Anita) and Karen Blanton of Kentucky; his wife Mary Effie; his children, Robin Felts Coleman (Ashley) of Camden, Sam Felts (Lynn) of Excel, Judith Felts Ray of Camden and Edward L. Felts, Jr. (Scottie) of Mobile; his grandchildren, Kylan Defore, Mary Elizabeth Dalhaus, Ashley Ray, Colton Ashley, Griffin Felts and Preston Ray; his great grandchild Elijah Ray; and his close friend Charlotte Johnson of Camden. He is also survived by his children from his first marriage.
