He is survived by: his wife Carol Somich Blackmon; his daughters, Angie Thomas (Jamie) and Kim McHugh; his grandchildren, Caroline Thomas, Sarah Thomas, Keenan Lee McHugh, Delaney McHugh, Rhett Thomas, Ellis Anne McHugh and Cannon McHugh; his sister Cheryl Bonham (Doug); his nieces, Amy Cox and Samantha Linderman (Derek); his brother Allen Blackmon (Carrie); and his niece Alicia Duke (Parker).
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Elkdale Baptist Church (2221 Elkdale St, Selma, AL 36701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Elkdale Baptist Church or your favorite charity in his name.
