He was predeceased by: his son Meigs Hicks; and his parents, Terrell Hicks and Barbara "Tutta" Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Meigs Hicks; his daughter Kincey Ribeiro (Eduardo); his granddaughter Debora Ribeiro; and his brother Alan Hicks (Averee). He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
