He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Ann C. King; his children, Kendrick K. Crum, JaRob E. Crum, Robert C. Crum and Le'Asia A. Crum; his stepdaughters, Latoya M. McDonald and Adrionna A. Powell; his siblings, Michael S. E. Johnson Sr., Mylon D. Crum Sr. and Pamela C. Rackley; his nieces, LaChandra Walker and Kennedi Rackley; and his godchildren, Jeffery F. Holmes Jr., Renita L. Holmes and Kiishun Woods. He was also cherished by three grandchildren, two nieces, three nephews.
