He is survived by: his wife Juanita Lanier; his children, Larry, Zanell (Vernon) of Washington, Zanja Lanier, Richard Lanier Jr., Marcus Lanier (Charnita) and Kendrick Lanier; and his siblings, Harrell Lanier (Deborah), Lonnie Lanier (Maretta), Cecil Lanier, Moses Lanier, Mary Agee (Calvin), Patricia Callen (Leon), Annie Callen, Dorothy Agee (Jessie), Angiea and Prevonna Lanier. He is also survived by five aunts, two uncles, seven brothers-in-laws, six sisters-in-laws, thirty grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, and nephews.
