With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Alice Massey Pierce of Selma, Alabama, born in Sprott, Alabama, who passed away on August 28, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Moore and Alvis Morris Massey; her husband Bradford Ellis Pierce; her siblings, Doris Quarles and James Massey; and her daughter-in-law Barbara Pierce.
She is survived by: her children, James Pierce (Deborah), Walter Pierce (Linda), Thomas Pierce and Martha Hollingshead (Glenn); and her grandchildren, James Pierce (Tracy), Brad Pierce, Holly Strickland (Brian), Paul Pierce (Holley), Doshia Sims (Kirk), Tom Pierce (Shannon), Courtney Helms (Tut), Ashley Stephens (Cobie), Heather Stevens (Nick), Heath Hollingshead (Lora) and Heidi Strahm (Kenneth). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family is accepting flowers or donations to ECAD (Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities) in her memory.
