She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Miree and Zada Miree; her husband Anthony Cook, Jr.; her siblings, Rosie Minniefield, Alberta Morton, Lucille Sorsby, Francis Clark, Betty Mae McKeithen, Annie Whitted, Walter Miree, Hezie Miree and Capus Miree; and her brother-in-law Seaborn Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Ernestine Cook LeSure (Willie) of Dayton, OH, Ervin Cook (Mary) of Selma, AL, Alphonso Cook (Mary) of Selma, AL, Zederine Bell of Selma, AL, Eric Cook (Sharon) of Selma, AL and Debra Fuller (Will) of Montgomery, AL.; and her cousins, Willie P. Cook and Margaret Cook. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Aubrey Larkin's Lewis Brothers Funeral Home (1140 Minter Ave, Selma, AL 36703). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. A burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at the College Hill AME Church.
