He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Manuel Franklin, Sr. and Margaret Ann Franklin; his brother Paul Thomas "Tommy" Franklin; and his daughter Marlena Hayes. He is survived by: his sisters, Cathy Lenoir (Mike), Catherine Franklin (Bobby Smitherman) and Marie Jones Franklin.
