He was predeceased by: his parents, William Pinkney Sherrer and Louise Gladden Morrow Sherrer; his siblings, Evelyn Morrow Sherrer Henry (J. D.), Bill and Charles; and his nephews, Ted Henry and Ed Sherrer.
He is survived by: his wife Sherie Randall Sherrer; his children, John (Suzette), Scott (Diane), Todd (Neill) and Sherie Leigh Ousley (David); his grandchildren, John, Kyle, Kelly, Amanda, Rachael, Caroline, Will, Emily, Mary Alan, William and Laura; and his great grandchild Matthew.
