He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruth MacDonald and Edgar Poe Russell; his brothers, Edgar Poe Russell, Jr. and Donald MacDonald Russell; his children, John Archibald Russell, III (Alice), Paul Vaughan Russell, Sr. (Betty), Ruth Russell Buster (Rusty) and Robin Russell Duke (Bo); and his grandchildren, Callen Russell Parsley (Russ), Catherine Russell Goodman (Wade), John Archibald Russell, IV (Kelly), Paul Vaughan Russell, Jr. (Peyton), Benjamin Barron Russell, Ann Russell Huskey (Whit), Ann B. Payne (Brannon), William Russell Buster, IV (Mary Lafitte), John Burke Buster (Erica) and John Michael Metz (Molly). He was also cherished by 29 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held a later date when the danger of Covid-19 is long past.
