He is survived by: his parents, Dr. John Leslie and Grace Donald Carmichael; his wife Neva H. Kyser; his daughter Lesley Carmichael Lloyd (Bart); his grandsons, George Emory, Branum Carmichael and John Bartow Lloyd; his siblings, Drs and Grace Carmichael Finkel (Joe); and his pet Sundance. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
