He was predeceased by: his parents, Agle Shelby and Flossie Shelby; his wife Barbara P. Shelby; and his siblings, Terry Shelby and Brenda Shelby.
He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret Shelby and Judith Shelby (Herschel Jackson); his siblings, Rickey Shelby (Donna) and Sheila Malone (Fletch); and his sister-in-law Susan Shelby. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
