He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Hicks; his children, James Matthew Hicks and Rachel Arner; his grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Arner, Samuel Elijah Arner, Jack Hardin Fuller and Abigail Marie Fuller; and his brother Leonard Hicks (Peggy).
