He was predeceased by: his father Woodrow Burton; his wife Marie R. Burton; his brother Alvis D. Burton; and his siblings-in-law, Billy Ray Strickland and Betty Ruth Burton.
He is survived by: his mother Jessie M. Burton; his daughters, Niki Burton and Casey Burton (Austin); his grandchildren, Landon, Brayden, Brookslynn and McKenzie; and his siblings, Carolyn Lawrence (Monroe), Doris Strickland, Vicky Owens (Mike) and Prentis Burton (Rhonda). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
