She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Oakes Meigs and Willie Fulton Meigs; her grandparents, John Mike, Jennie Suther Oakes, Willie William and Nora Hunt Meigs; and her daughter Rev. Misty Edwards Barrett (Jimbo) of Headland, AL.
She is survived by: her husband Russell Earl Edwards; her son Fulton Derrick Edwards (Susan) of River Falls, WI; her grandson Meigs Gary Roberts; her stepgranddaughters, Payton Arkuszeski (Drew) and Caroline Barrett; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Wesson and Adley Arkuszeski; her aunt Rosanell Thompson Oakes; and her cousins, Jan Coton (Gary), Mike Oakes, Hope Holt (Barry), Allen Oakes (Becky) and Joy Lewellen (Gary).
