He was predeceased by: his father James Edward Mayton; and his stepfather Donald Emmett Smith. He is survived by: his mother Lorraine Jowers Williamson; his children, Gina Lane (Greg) and Chad Mayton; his grandchildren, Lauren Jordan (Trent), Brooke Pugh (Jonathan) and Taylor Mayton; and his siblings, Joy Collins (Woody) and Ted Smith (Karen). He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
