She was predeceased by: her husband Clovis Denson Massey; her daughter Phyllis Ann Massey Sills; her siblings, Firman Brooks Lindsay, Jr. (Betsy), Dennis D. Lindsay and Marjorie Lindsay; and her brother-in-law Harmon Massey (Laverne McGee).
She is survived by: her children, Roy Vardaman "Bart" Massey, Patricia Massey Smathers, Rebecca Dianne Massey and David D. Massey (Susan); and her sister-in-law Sharon Lindsay. She is also survived by six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
