It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Carter Jackson (Selma, Alabama), who passed away on March 24, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Nathan Mitchell Carter, Sr. and Lille Belle Hicks Carter; her siblings, Dr. Nathan M. Carter, Jr., Harold A. Carter, Sr., Marian Carter McKinnie (Walter) and Blanche Carter Thrash; and her sister-in-law Jean Roane Carter. She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and friends.
