He is survived by: his children, Casey DeWitt Waites (Patrick), Wylson Burke Dewitt (Andrea), Parker Bryant DeWitt and Kaite DeWitt Durham (David); his grandchildren, Austin Carpenter, Cameron Carpenter, Rebecca Carpenter, Porter Waites, Walker Waites, Palmer Waites, Emily Durham, Charlotte Durham, Wyatt Durham and Daniel Durham; his brothers, Karl Hamilton and George Eskridge; and his close friend Nancy Dewitt.
