Dennis Sweeney Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2021, at the age of 76, Dennis Sweeney of Selma, Alabama, born in Columbiana, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Sweeney and Mary Florence Lyon Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Karen Sweeney; his daughters, Christine Aiken (Tom), Mary Peyton Peppo (Bret), Kerry Pennell (Kevin) and Beth Sweeney; his stepdaughter Langley Kyle (Jeff); his grandchildren, John, Peyton, Wyatt Aiken, Russell, Savannah Pennell, Patrick, Lauren Sweeney, Addison and Ansley Kyle; and his sister Carolyn LeFleur. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
As a testament to his ongoing concern for his fellow man, Dennis began developing a product to eliminate COVID-19 in nursing homes and schools in the last year of his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Columbiana United Methodist Church or Southern Methodist University Alumni Association, Dallas, Tx.
