Dannie Helms Obituary

Dannie Edward Helms passed away November 4, 2021 at the age of 69. He was born October 27, 1952 to Ollie Edward Helms and the late Lula Newsome Helms.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Helms and brother-in-law, Kenny Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Helms; son, Jud (Casey) Hewston; grandchildren, Timothy (Alma) Hewston, Gavin Hewston, Parker Hewston, John Thomas Hewston and Emily Danielle Hewston; his father; brother, Robin Helms; great-grandchildren, Brayden Hewston, Miguel Hewston and Emilee Hewston; mother-in-law, Lucille Killingsworth; sister-in-law, Connie Harris; brother-in-law, James (Vicki) Killingsworth; special friend, Jason Buchanan; fur-baby, Twix Lightning and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Martin officiating. Interment will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., before the service.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Langston, Jason Buchanan, Miguel Sanchez, Keith King, Timothy Hewston, Mike Granthum and Chris Landers.
