It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Bell Maughan (Selma, Alabama), who passed away on January 30, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Terry Hubert Elliot and Mattie Lou Ward Elliot; her husband John A. Maughan; her grandson Douglas Scott Leverett; and her sisters, Maxine Adams, Ruby Boswell, Mary Frances Guyton and Teresa Tindoll.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Chandler (Bobby) of Deatsville, AL, Gayle Butler of Pike Road, AL, Donna Gunter (Scott) of Selma and Terry Maughan (Debbie) of Valley Grande; her grandchildren, Cindy Matthews (George) of Deatsville, Chris Butler (Tiffany) of Woodridge, VA, Brian Butler (Dana) of Pike Road, Christy Alexander (Chris) of Valley Grande, Ashley Walker (Sean) of Gulf Shores and Wesley Gunter (Katherine) of Valley Grande; and her sister Bernice Hinely (Ray) of Niceville, FL. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
