She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. James Gilbert Hillman and Hilda Eva Langford Hillman; her husband Calvin Gowan Byrd; her sister Doris H. Byrd; and her brother-in-law Ralph Buchanan.
She is survived by: her sisters, Carolyn H. Buchanan and Linda H. Gibson (James). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
