He is survived by: his wife Sandra Gist; his son Daniel Gist; his grandchildren, Dustin Gist (Stephanie), Heath Gist, Monica Hardeman (Chase), Megan Fleming (Dustin) and Hunter Gist (Sara); and his great grandchildren, Brody Badgett, Taegan Whitmire, Ella Hardeman, Aubrie Blizzard, Taesyn Whitmire, Emasyn Hardeman, Maddie Fleming and Garrison Fleming.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the W. T Wilson Funeral Chapel (2226 Main St Shiloh, Rainsville, AL 35986). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the W. T. Wilson Funeral Chapel (2226 Main St Shiloh, Rainsville, AL 35986).
