In the sacred silence of farewell, Marie is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Marie's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hinton and Lucinda Durham Hinton; her husband Deacon James Evans Jr.; and her children, Gloria Ann Ford and James Wesley Evans.
She is survived by: her daughters, Addie Marie Alexander and JoAnn Peters Robinson (Ricky); her sister Lucy Mae Peters; her niece Mary "Liz" Holt; and her nephews, Edward Harmon and Earnest Holt. She is also survived by six grandchildren, sixteen great- grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
