He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Nelson and Sarah Richmond Nelson; and his siblings, Annie Nelson Fears, Leila Nelson, George Nelson, Jimmy Nelson and Farmer Nelson.
He is survived by: his sister Vera Adkins of Opelika, AL; his goddaughter Shelia Pickney of St. Cloud, FL; and his nephew Evangelist Ezekiel Fears (Mary Love) of Seale, AL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
