It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lessie Mae Butts of Seale, Alabama, who passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hayward Lewis and Katie B. Lewis; and her siblings, Freddie Lewis, James Mathews and Annie Pearl Hoskins.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Butts; her children, Peggy Holt (Earnest), Mary Mitchell, Margaret Butts, Lovetta Butts, LaDonna Duffy, Robert Butts, Jr. and Dionte Lewis (Ebony); her siblings, Jimmie Lewis (Carolyn), Charlie Mae Woods (Toney), Josephine Woods, Diane Hood, Katie Griffen (Alfonso) and Jacqueline Hicks; and her sister-in-law Mary Reese (Jeff). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
