It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Estelle Laney Key of Seale, Alabama, who passed away on March 31, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Laney, Sr. and Minnie Lee Dixon Laney; her significant other Fred Key, Sr.; her siblings, Emmitt Laney, Rosia Lockhart and Elizabeth Pruitt; her stepdaughters, Bennie Johnson and Bennie Key; and her granddaughter Shanay Laney.
She is survived by: her children, Victoria Williams of Seale, AL and Jerome Laney (Teresa) of Indianapolis, IN; her stepchildren, Jonnie Bailey of Fayetteville, GA, Jeniece Bass (Alvin) of Columbus, GA, Fred Key, Jr. (Lillie) of Fortson, GA, Carl Fortson of Montgomery, AL, Douglas Key of Lithonia, GA, Ken Key (Shernita) of Seale, AL and Terry Key (Rosselyn) of Fordyce, AR; and her brothers, William Laney, Jr. (Hattie Mae) of Phenix City, AL, Robert Laney (Deloris) of Birmingham, AL and Paul Laney (Willie Mae) of Neptune, NJ. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
