It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph S Mackey of Scottsboro, Alabama, born in Laurium, Michigan, who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Urho Mackey and Signe Lampi Mackey; his brother Paul; and his nephew Henri Mackey. He is survived by: his wife Merle Janette Porter (Jan); his children, Charles (Gabrielle) of Redford, MI and Nancy Rose of Scottsboro; his grandchildren, Andrew Rose of Norcross, GA. and Julie Rose of Scottsboro; his nephew Allan Mackey; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Porter of Danville, KY, Ralph Porter and Dorothy Ann Porter Richards.
