She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Helms and Lucille Phillips Helms; and her husband Wilbur Thurmond. She is survived by: her brothers, Harold Helms, Oscar L. Helms (Martha) and Early R. Helms (Tijuana). She is also survived by Several Nieces & Nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mt. View Memory Gardens (Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, Fort Payne, AL 35968). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the same location.
