It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Thrasher of Scottsboro, Alabama, who passed away on March 9, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Loyd and Julia Mae Loyd; and her siblings, Clyde of Billy, J. E., Paul David and Janice Duke.

She is survived by: her children, Keith Vanwinkle (Cindy), Shannon Orear (Jason) and Lanna Taylor (Larry); her grandchildren, Rachel Taylor, Isaiah Taylor, Cheyenne Orear, Scott Scamehorn (Danni) and Dakota Rhea Orear; her great grandchildren, Thea Banks Blankenship and Denver Blankenship; and her sister Velma Waters.
