We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2025, at the age of 87, Dula Mae Jones Yancey of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Warren Jones and Wilma Erlene Jones; her husband Gilbert Reed; and her sister Tula Fae Jones. She is survived by: her cousin Carolyn (Judy); her daughters, Cassandra Munday (James) and Phyllis Crabtree; her sisters, Genell Kermondy (John) and Loree Landers (Dale); her sisters-in-law, Mary Sue Yancey, Evelyn Yancey and Janice Barclift (James Riley); her grandchildren, Deanna Winiarz (Jesse), James William Munday (Kelsey), Justin Munday (Shannon) and Jay Munday; and her great grandchildren, Cailin Munday, Ryan Higdon, Gunnar Higdon, Lahlan Winiarz, Adian Munday and Eleanor Munday. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams Brown Service Funeral Home (6906 US-431, Albertville, AL 35950). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity, church, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
