It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cordie Lucille Gerbige (Scottsboro, Alabama), who passed away on April 3, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William Walter Gerbige; her parents, Fannie Mitchell and Stephen Mitchell; and her siblings, Cornelia Light, Lora Sharp, Ruby Sharp, Opal Shelton, Stella Skinner, Claude Mitchell, Ray Mitchell and Clayton Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Harry Gerbige (Brenda) and Joan Austin (Robert); her brother Tom Mitchell (Betty); and her grandchildren, Tammy Deetman (Gregg), Brett Gerbige (Christina), Heath Gerbig (Dena) and Tracie Johnson. She is also survived by 12 Great grandchildren, 10 Great great grandchildren.
