It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Burt of Scottsboro, Alabama, who passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burt and Lillie Mae Vaughn Burt; his wife Shirley Jean Hughes Burt; his children, Carlton Ray Liles and Sheila Barton; and his siblings, J. L. Burt, Ray Burt, Howard Burt, Wydean Smith, Judy Burt and Edith Burt.
He is survived by: his son Seth Burt (Teresa); his grandchildren, Ashley Liles, Paige Liles, Alona Burt and Allissa Burt; and his siblings, Roger Burt (Sue) and Sandra Ledwell (James). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory (3801 Gault Ave N, Fort Payne, AL 35967). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Walnut Grove Cemetery (3602 Greenhill Blvd NW, Fort Payne, AL 35967).
