She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Chester Maxie and Marie Maxie; her husband Horace McWhorter Everett, Jr.; her children, Kimberly Jo Everett (Kip Cole) and Alan Everett (Julia); and her sisters, Rosemary Weddington and Joan Johnston (Jay).
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Northeast Alabama Community College Foundation.
