She was predeceased by: her parents, George Houston Dicus (Mary Nell Chiles) of Scottsboro and Mary Nell Dicus; her stepmother Elizabeth Holder Dicus; and her father-in-law A. J. Kennamer. She is survived by: her foster son Billy; her husband Stephen Kennamer; her daughters, Georgia Boles and Molly Kennamer; her grandchildren, Zanna, George and Jocelyn Boles; her foster son Bill Messer; and her mother-in-law Joyce Money Kennamer. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Scottsboro Public Library, the Impact Learning Center or The ARC of Jackson County.
