It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Seale Coleman of Sawyerville, Alabama, who passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James William and Maude Looney Seale; her husband Harris M. Coleman; her grandson Lewis J. Lawson; her children-in-law, Clarence Reid Lawson and Kathy C. Coleman; and her siblings, Frances Seale Hoggle Preston, Aubrey Seale, Edgar Seale and Grover Seale.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Coleman Lawson and Harris M. Coleman, Jr.; her granddaughters, Mary Quitman Lawson Holmes, Amy Lawson Cooper (Rhett), Kelli Coleman Bergman (Jon) and Kristi J. Coleman; her great grandchildren, Mary Coleman Chandler, Elizabeth Moore Holmes, Lewis Lawson Holmes, Caroline Reid Cooper, Margaret Lewis Cooper, Lewis Coleman Cooper, Mary Jacobs Bergman and Jon Riggs Bergman, Jr.; and her caregiver Ollie Williams.
