He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson and Thelia Faye Ozbun Newton; and his siblings, James Newton, Robert Newton and Virginia Dowdy.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Newton; his son William; his daughter-in-law Vickie Newton; his daughters, Kim Petitt (Duane), Laura Adams (Max) and Rebecca Ward; and his siblings, Darrell Newton (Loretta), Buster Newton (Debbie), Thomas Newton, Shelby Ray, Norma Hyre and Anna May Anderson (Bill). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
Bill's family is very appreciative of the care he received from the staff and nurses of the Reid Health Hospice team and ask that memorial contributions be directed to Reid Hospice, 1100 Reid Parkway, Richmond, IN 47374.
