He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Beatrice Tidwell and James Frank Tidwell; his brothers, Charles Tidwell and Benny Tidwell; and his grandson Joey Tidwell.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Tidwell (Lisa), Marty Tidwell, Scotty Tidwell (Kristen), Shane Tidwell (Elizabeth) and Brone Tidwell (Kindle); and his siblings, Robert Tidwell of Boaz and Dean Carroll Tidwell of Sardis. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren.
