He is survived by: his wife Marie Dobbins Rowan; his children, Carolyn Puckett (Jerry), Mona Lisa Rowan Edwards (Tim), Anita Rowan Baker, Melvin Qualls (Jackie), Pat Bagley, Mary Reed, Lisa Davis (Bennie) and Donald Woods (Anita); his grandchildren, Merica Knight (Richard), Judah Daniel (Jessica), Monica Burns (Adam), Jerrica Billingsley (Cody), Guy Baker, Brian Nielsen and Jamie Love; and his siblings, Marylin Nix and Chalmus "Buddy" Rowan (Wilma). He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.
