He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lester Moody Sr and Mary Jane Moody; his siblings, Ray Moody, Mary McClure and Barbara Jones; his son Jeff Cornett; and his nephew Bill Moody.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Moody; his sister Betty Wright of Tuscumbia; and his children, Les Moody (Leigh), Thomas Darrell Moody, Denise Curtis (Michael) and Cindy Cornett.
