He was predeceased by : his parents, Ruben Tillman Copeland and Cora Bell Manley Copeland; and his brother Lewis "Doodle" Copeland, and his sister Clarice Coxwell. He is survived by : his wife Sarah Burns Copeland of Saraland, AL; his children, Rick Copeland (Lisa) of Saraland, AL and Diane James (Jesse) of Mobile, AL; and his siblings, James David "Pedro" Copeland of Lake Martin, AL and Margie Foster of Mustang, OK. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren and one on the way.
